About the event
We depart from CNCP at 7 am for a two-hour ride to St. Petersburg. First, we'll stop off at the St. Pete Pier, where you can wander the newly renovated pier and attractions as well as go on a private naturalist-led tour of the education center of Tampa Bay Watch. There, you'll see up close some of the creatures and features of the Tampa Bay estuary, including seahorses and pufferfish. Next, you'll enjoy a docent-led tour of the wildlife art at The James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art. You will also have time to explore the 26,000 sq feet of gallery space dedicated to Native and Western art.
To round out the day, we will stop by the Wild Space Gallery, a new project started by the Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation meant to inspire visitors to save and connect Florida's last wild places.
Lunch is not included in the price of the tour but you will have time to dine at several cafes or bring your own lunch to enjoy in a park. The bus should return to the CNCP parking lot by 6 pm. The motor coach is equipped with a lavatory and we will make a stop to and from St. Pete for a restroom break.
If you cancel your reservation before September 6, your payment will be refunded minus a $25 processing fee. Cancellations Sept 6 or later are non-refundable unless your spot can be filled by a waitlist customer and will incur a $25 processing fee.
Join fellow nature-lovers on this unique and "cool" trip to St. Pete that will let you appreciate the outdoors, without the sweat!
