Kids and families need good things to do, and many local places are still closed: we are trying to step up and fill the need. Our Friendly Forest Fall Festival is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, September 30th – Oct 1st, and we need LOTS of help to get ready for it! Although part of the forest and trails are still underwater, there is enough dry land to make Friendly Forest possible — especially if we have HELP… come on over to the nature center this Friday from 10 am to 2 pm or in fact anytime in the coming week (including Fall Festival day, if you come early enough to register ahead) and help us kick Irma out of the Festival area and make everything great for the children! Chris Kielmeyer is organizing FFFF, and Erica Waller is organizing the volunteers — call our office 239-275-3435 or contact Erica via email to find out more or set up your own best hours. If you can make it this Friday, you will be totally up to speed for the coming week and Festival. See you at the Center!
