June 1, 7:30 pm “About Time!” SW Florida Astronomical Society Monthly Evening Program

This month’s speaker will be L. Scott Flaig. His topic is “Cosmology: The Nature of Time”
Scott Flaig presents a composite view (which he likens to a full spectrographic view of a cosmic object) of time as understood through science, theology and philosophy. Mr. Flaig’s position is that all three viewpoints are essential to understanding time in a holistic perspective.  Scott Flaig is author of the book “Cosmology: Faith and Science Reveal Universal Truth.” He is an instructor on cosmology at the FGCU Renaissance Academy, and has been an adjunct professor at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University (Virtual Enterprises). He has a B. S. in Mathematics from University of Dubuque, a Certificate of Operations Strategy from Harvard Business School, and has been a corporate executive at Dell Corporation, iOmega and Xerox as well as a partner at Ernst & Young.
SWFAS business meeting follows the speaker’s program. This program and meeting are free and open to the public.
