“In Irma’s Wake” is a WGCU original documentary about challenges and recovery from the damage caused to many nature-oriented interpretive centers by September’s Hurricane Irma strike on our area.
WGCU is proud to be part of a wonderful partnership with the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, Naples Botanical Garden, The Naples Zoo, Everglades Wonder Gardens, The Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium, Edison & Ford Winter Estates, and the Six Mile Cypress Slough to rebuild and recover post-Irma. As Kim Dye, Associate General Manager for Development and Community Relations, said during the screening “A rising tide lifts all boats”.
The program aired last night at 8 PM on WGCU!
Let’s continue to share the news with visitors, friends, partners and family to help support and bring awareness to all in our community. Let’s ensure we are updating all of our social media, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter and ask our visitors to like, re-tweet, share and comment on the posts.
The program is currently being streamed on WGCU’s website along with the contact information for all the organizations. http://www.wgcu.org/irma/
