Calusa Winter Camp Especially for Homeschoolers
A drop-off Earth & Space Nature & Science camp from 09:00 to noon, Mon – Thurs Dec 18-21
Monday – Tuesday, Dec 18 – 19: theme: Earthlings
Learn about the interconnectedness of life on our Big Blue Marble, planet Earth! We’ll use fun activities and games to learn about water cycles, life cycles, energy from the sun, plants, animals, food chains, and spend a lot of time learning about nature in our beautiful SW Florida environment. This will make you proud to call yourself an Earthling!
Wednesday – Thursday, Dec 20 – 21: theme: Spacelings
We’ll explore space and other planets and what it would take for us to visit or even settle on some of them! With fun activities and age-appropriate demonstrations from NASA, and with the aid of our “spaceship” (the planetarium) for visiting and learning about other environments, this will be “one small step” into Space for each camper.
All camps run from 9 am – 12 noon, to keep your camper from missing any of the fun, please drop off your camper between 8:30 and 9 am.
Pricing (it is totally worth your while to become a member! Membership runs a full year from the day you join and includes camp discounts all year and free admission to the nature center and regularly-scheduled planetarium shows all year.)
Mon-Thurs camp: $20/day members, $30/day non-members
