Calusa Camp Summer 2017 Registration

Calusa Camp Summer 2017 Registration

You have found the page for Calusa NatureLab Camp Registration for Summer 2017 — fill your child’s summer with fun, nature, science, and hands-on creative activities at Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium: ten excellent themed weeks offer lots of variety! Ages 6-15 (grades 1-10; minimum age is 6 years).  Calusa’s NatureLab Summer Camp is a unique active learning experience with our 105-acre outdoors and our learning centers engaging campers.  Active learning experiences with animals, challenging research investigations and more. Each week focuses on a different theme. The camp is staffed by professional teachers assisted by advanced FGCU Environmental Studies majors, and all camp personnel are fully background-checked.

NatureLab Summer 2017 enrollment information:

Calusa NatureLab will be open on the weeks listed below, 8:30 am – 4 pm, with optional early drop-off at 8:00 am and optional after-care from 4 pm – 6 pm.  Please be prompt; penalties for pickup after 6 pm accrue at the rate of $3/min.

What to Bring/wear: Please send a water bottle and a lunch with your camper each day. Children must dress for the outdoors in “play clothes,” as we will be outdoors exploring nature. All campers should bring a change of clothes and a second pair of shoes: it’s the rainy season and we will be occasionally exposed to muddy trails, etc. Closed-toed shoes are a MUST. Hat and sunscreen are highly recommended.

Calusa NatureLab is for participants from 6 to 15 years of age. All participants must have completed at least the first half-year of first grade upon registration.

Enrollment applications are available at the Calusa Nature Center, or you may fill out the application below if you wish to register your student(s) online. Each participant will require a separate registration form fill, but choice of multiple camps may be made in that camper’s registration and payments may be made in one pass by setting the item quantities appropriately.
